Gentle soft play for Hodgkins’ littlest party guests
Not every celebration calls for a towering slide. When the guest of honor is turning one, two, or three, what Hodgkins parents really want is a safe, soft, scaled-down space where wobbly walkers can explore without the bigger kids barreling through. That is exactly what our toddler soft play sets deliver. Bounce Houses R Us has been the trusted name for early-childhood party rentals across the southwest suburbs for more than 15 years, with over 1,000 five-star reviews and a 4.9-star rating from grateful moms, dads, and grandparents.
What is included in a soft play set
Our toddler soft play packages combine padded foam climbers, gentle mini-slides, soft stepping shapes, ball pits, rockers, and low tunnels, all sized for little legs and cushioned for inevitable tumbles. Many families pair a soft play zone with a small toddler-safe inflatable to round out a first-birthday setup. The pieces are low to the ground, free of hard edges, and arranged so caregivers can supervise easily from a nearby chair.
Made for Hodgkins homes and halls
Because soft play has a small footprint and no blower noise, it works beautifully indoors, which is a real advantage during a chilly Hodgkins spring or when you have booked a room at a local hall or church near East Avenue. It sets up just as well on a backyard lawn or a shaded patio for warm-weather parties. We can place it on grass or hard surfaces alike, and because there are no stakes or generators involved for the soft-play pieces themselves, setup is quick and quiet. Everything is thoroughly sanitized before every rental, an assurance that matters most with babies and toddlers putting hands and toys in their mouths. Our equipment is fully insured and Illinois state-inspected, with a certificate of insurance available for any venue that requires it.
Simple booking for busy parents
We keep things easy: a deposit reserves your date and the balance is due on delivery, with a standard 6-hour rental and extended or overnight options on request. If the weather turns, our flexible policy lets you call before 7am to reschedule, take a year-long credit, or get a refund, though indoor soft play parties sidestep the rain entirely.
As the birthday kids grow, families often graduate from soft play to a bounce house or a wet-and-wild water slide for later summers. And when you are hosting a larger family gathering with relatives coming in from La Grange, Countryside, and beyond, our full event rentals catalog adds tables, chairs, and treats to complete the day. Where Hodgkins families host a toddler party
Hodgkins parents planning a first or second birthday often start with a single question: where do you fit a toddler party in a village this size? The answer is usually closer than you think. Families on the Pleasantdale side near Plainfield Road frequently host indoors at home, while others reserve a community room and bring the soft play to a quiet, climate-controlled space. Because our soft play foam pieces weigh next to nothing and run silent, a finished basement, a garage with the door open, or a fellowship hall off Kane Avenue all work without a generator or a single stake.
Pairing soft play with the rest of the day
A toddler crowd usually means a mixed guest list, with older siblings and cousins arriving from Countryside and Indian Head Park. We frequently set the soft play ring in one corner for the under-threes and stage a separate attraction nearby so the big kids burn energy without crowding the babies. If your party spills into the warmer months, a gentle Hodgkins water slide rental gives the school-age guests their own splash zone while the toddlers stay dry on the foam.
Practical notes for a Hodgkins toddler party
Soft play needs only a flat ten-by-ten patch of floor, so measuring before you book saves headaches later. Keep the ball pit away from doorways and snack tables, plan a soft surface like an area rug under climbers on hardwood, and seat caregivers at the perimeter so every wobbly explorer stays in view. When grandparents host a larger family gathering, our event rentals can supply low kid tables and chairs sized for the toddler set, plus seating for the adults who inevitably gather to watch the chaos.
